Hi, my problem is that when I was younger, I used to be on several forums and now I have said or done some pretty embarrasing things on the forums I was on. I am not a hacker or anything like that but I would like to get on some of the forums and be able to get into the adminstrator's username and password then delete everything that I ever have said then leave the rest of the forum alone then sign off and never visit that forum ever again. Please help, Thank you. ~ Older and wiser now and regrets what was said on certain forums ~

The adminstrators would not let me so by law, they have to delete my username and posts, everything that I have ever said then how do I go about doing that because I am at this stage in my life where I am in a life changing experience and I would not like those things to come back and haunt me all because of what and who I used to be before when I was younger. Please how can I ask to have all my username, posts and everything I ever said be deleted, by law please ? Thank you

If it was a username you made and it isn't your full name or doesnt contain any info about you such as your adress telephone or anything else then you shouldnt worry about it because most likely no one will ever find out it was you. If your name was in the username or you gave contact info and your adress that can be seen by others then you should be worried... Example: Your name is JohnSmith and your Username is JohnSmith101.. This would concern me also because if anyone ever came across those forums and knew you in real life it would be stupid especially if it was your boss or teacher.. Anyways find out the admin of the forums and send him an email to remove the posts that you want to be removed, threaten them and make up an email.. Example:

Dear (Admin name.com...) or to whom it may concern,
Several posts under my username: (your username here) were posted on the following dates (dates go here) a link to several of these posts has been provided (Link 1... Link 2... Link 3...) these posts contain replies never added by my account, my computer was hacked and many of my accounts were confiscated, i tried logging in today after serveral weeks and noticed these posts, if they are not removed I will contact the federal department of internet trusties (not a real organization) and have an investigation done on your website that could cause a potential close down for a long period of time. They will have the right to close down your website for false representation under my username (your username here), and for breaking the US Section 14:b30c Internet Privacy act. ( note: this isn't a real law) Class X felony (10-lifetime Jail time) if convicted.. Please remove these posts from your website before legal action is taken against you and your website in federal court... Or before I press charges against you and your website affiliates

Thank you.
(Your Email Preferably one that you just made and dont use)
(Username on forums)

This should work, if not try going back and editing the posts and removing what you said. Keep sending emails to the admin until you get replies, spam him if necissary. Post on forums saying your account was hacked and pretend the posts you made were by a hacker.. If all this doesnt work, forget about it.. the posts will go away on their own probably after a while... couple of years..

Hope this helped good luck..

oh my god kid how bad could whatever you said up on those forums be look whatever it was your getting paranoid for nothing look i know internet security measures i went to school for networking and repair for starters dont send a message to anyone about them thats just going to raise a red flag B. dont hack. most sites use at least 120+ bit encryption i have some software put out by about 5 years ago and abruptly taken off the shelf compliments of uncle sam that is 256 bit encryption ok for starters like the one guy above stated as long as u didnt use personal info on ur name ur in the clear u see 70 -75 percent of people that claim to be able to hack cant they use other hackers programs making them crackers they can cause problems but they usually dont stand a chance againt the real deal a real hacker can write source code and UNDERSTANDS the code you dont want to try using that goofy **** in the movies either ie hackers the net so on now just leave it alone unless your trying to pursue a career in politics LOL dont worry about it just leave it alone u could go to jail for what a few words?
you live in america right freedom of speech ok you were young and dumb now you have lived and learned the important thing is you grew up and changed or regret your previous views welcome to life mate it happens to all of us good luck oh by the way thought id let you in on a little secret u can use the trash can in windows to delete a file but it only deletes the file or folder name from the directory and marks the space as being usable to store other programs it can be recovered until its overwritten on that space with a disk management tool susch as nortons unerase wizard you can bring it back same with servor space bud and not to mention there is almost allways a backup server somewhere thought id tell you this so you dont get desperate try to delete someone notices the 'breakin' and recovers your files and your isp footprint leading them back to you with the fbi look im adding somemore on here ok once you make your words publically known whether it be the media the paper or even a forumn they are now considered public property let me ask you what was it you said why do you think it will affect you

Gaining passwords you do not have the rights to have is NOT a sign of older and wiser. Email the admin and tell him your story. Ask him to delete the posts OR replace them with "Poster regrets content and it has been removed". That may keep the threads from screwing up.

That is hacking and is definitely not a good way to be "wiser". I suggest you try contacting the admins of the site and asking them, or if you have a login and password for your account most forums allow you to delete your posts.

Why don't you simply e-mail the administrator and ask them to remove the posts by you? Many of them are quite understanding if you ask them sincerely and nicely.

You are trying to make the SAME MISTAKE again by trying to steal the administrator's password and break into the system.

I would advise just getting a new username. Some fourms let you go back and delete your posts, hope it goes well! And don't worry we all make mistakes!

why not just email the adminstrator and ask him/her to remove the posts? Explain that you are embarrassed and that you'd like them removed.
