The real question I'm trying to ask is HOW EXACTLY DO THEY RESPOND WHEN A REIKI PRACTIONER MERELY WALKS THROUGH A STABLE??
It's obviously understandable why they'd respond to reiki treatments like anyone/anything else
PLEASE DESCRIBE HOW THE HORSE[S] REACT when you [if your a practioner or reiki] just walks thru the stable?

coz so far it seems to me, horses only have a few reactions
just can't imagine them having a wider range of reactions other than I've observed

OK Horses are very intuitive animals. They can sense energy good or bad. Also horses are very in-tune with natural energies. In fact they are ones that can really give you the first warning signs of a storm, weather changes, or even when they sense a bad / evil energy / person.
In fact it is known that horses are used for troubled kids, and people with mental disabilities because they are very sensitive to the people and the energies they cast off. Horses are also very smart, and have been known to do good for humans. Once one is able to build a bond with a horse....the horse knows exactly what the human needs and vise versa.
I do practice reiki and many other healing and energy works. One thing I can say is that Horses can also pick up paranormal activity too. I have not only seen it, but have had hands on experiences with this.

How do the horses respond? Good question. A corollary question might be, "How do you know they respond?" They can't talk, so the response would have to be measurable. If a change is measured, how can it be said with any degree of certainty the Reiki caused the change?
Magical touch therapy is imagined by the victim, er, I mean patient. There is nothing in the way of evidence or reason indicating touch therapies are efficacious in treating any ailment that doesn't have a psychological overlap. In other words, the "healing" is imagined.

Reiki deals with the force and flow of energy, and animals are sensitive to this energy. Just as many animals respond to sound waves that we are unable to hear, they also sense when there is a storm or earthquake about to happen, they are connected to the energy.

well i have got a few horses, but never had Reiki done on them...but i can tell you they are a very sensative animal , they can pick up on your moods when around them...and they react to people running their hands across their backs.....

Is there any difference in Reiki and what the Charismatics do...in laying on of hands...at church services?

Horses have heightened senses. They can feel what others are feeling. Just like horses will become tense and easily startled around a nervous person, they can likewise be healed in the presence of a clear, peaceful being. If you are looking for a more scientific explanation, you will likely not find it in our lifetime.

You should ask your Reiki practitioner if it can remove horse dung. No doubt it cannot, much as a shovel cannot shovel itself.
