When the doctor gives your "26 weeks" pregnant he goes from the last time aunt flo visited. To be more accurate figure about 24 or 25 weeks ago. This is when you probally actually became pregnant.

Hope this helps

You probably know that a 40 week pregnancy is calculated from the date of your last period. You actually got pregnant when you ovulated, which should be between 11 and 16 days later based on a 28 day cycle.

If you are 26wks today then you're LMP should be around 29th april (my wedd anniversary, lol!) which would mean you actually fell pregnant approx 2wks later or the 13th May, give or take a couple of days.
(usually the first 2 wks of a 40 week pregnancy you aren't actually with child but they start couting the 40wks from the first day of your last menstrual period or 'LMP')

if you count 40 wks from the 29th april that puts you at 26wks today with 14 to go and a due date of 3rd Feb or thereabouts!

Best of luck and I hope that is what you were looking for!
