whats is your favorite genre of music? mine would have to be alternative rock.

I don't usually pay attention to genres because it's all mixed up with my taste. Any genre that says Indie, Experimental, Progressive, Alternative and Acoustic all in one.

I like so many genres of music, it's really hard to choose. I listen to everything from bands like Jonas Brothers to bands like My Chemical Romance and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus to singers like Josh Groban and Michael Buble to classical compositions such as Cannon In D Major to musicals such as Hairspray and Wicked. Really, the only music I don't like is rock that is too hard (like screamo), hip hop/rap, and R&B. But, other than that, I pretty much like everything.
However, I do have one reason for not liking a song/artist even if it is in a genre I like. I HATE old music. I don't know why, but it drives me crazy to listen to old music. If the song is older than about 2002, I won't listen to it.

I listen to just about everything but disco, boy bands, pop princesses, and anything by Barry Manilow or Barbara Streisand. As for fave genres of tunes...would have to be...

My Taste in Music Ranges.
There are songs that Apeal to me in most every Genre, But I tend to Lean towards "MetalXcore, ThrashXCore,Thrash Metal, Death Metal, Screamo, Emo, Industrial, Indie and Electronica".

Anything under the genre rock classic to screamo. I like ballad songs the best though.

I guess my favorite is Country, the old or the new stuff... I also like classic rock for the 60's, 70's and 80's. Also 80's metal when I'm in a kick a@@ mood...lol

Goth rock, like Within Temptation and Evanescence and Type O Negative.
I am not a goth and/or emo gal. I just love the dark, deep tones, along with the beat and more pulsing energy.
