Maybe the world thinks that you disappear, when you close your eyes?

You don't.
You cannot differentiate between whether something is actually real, or you are just perceiving it as real. The only thing you can be certain of is that you exist. Hence the expression "Cogito ergo sum" - "I think, therefore I am", attributed to Descartes. Self-realisation is the only realisation.

In effect, though, it doesn't matter, as long as it reappears when you wake up.

You know because there are four other senses working to tell you that the world is still here just as God planned it!

because there are scientific laws, stating that nothing can be destroyed. You may think reality has disappeared when your eyes are closed,but it is your perception of the world that has been modified without sight
