I mean seriously, why are people so obsessed with other people's lives? Do they just have nothing better to do or what?

I agree with you but then the thing is you can look at it from many many points of view. If people don't have a life at all then someone Else's is crazy interesting and then if u look at it from the business point of view its a product the more good reviews the more people use it the more bad the less. People also do this to follow the latest trend. Some just have nothing to talk about but overall yes i do agree this is stupid but then again as humans we do many very stupid things including spying on other lives. If you think about it what else will we do without these celebrities and their juice?

I totally agree with you. I don't care about celebrities. To me, what they do is a job just like a plumber or a pharmacist. I can appreciate a good actor or sports star like I can appreciate a good kitchen remodeler, beyond that I do not understand why people care so much. I also have more respect for intellectual achievements. A lot of those celebs that people care about are as dumb as a bag of hammers. I generally hate it when the celebs talk about political issues, again they are usually so dumb, and they live in a world that makes it difficult for them to relate to regular people. Another pet peeve is celebrity endorsements of products. I hate that. It is like marketers think we are sheep and will buy whatever some celeb tells us to buy. It also makes the products we buy more expensive. For example, some sports star makes 20 million a year from the game and then they get an endorsement from Nike paying more millions so they can tell me what shoe I should buy, forget it, give me some of your money and you can keep your shoes. I buy New Balance shoes because they are high quality and they don't use celebrity endorsements.

Yup you're certainly right. Usually now, the front page of the newspaper is celebrity news. This has got stop. Political news, current news is more important then celebrity news. This is one thing in the world that really annoys me!

I guess some people find celebrities interesting. I don't really have a problem with other people watching or obsessing over them, as long as they are not talking to me about it.

Yep! They are overpriced and overrhyped. It's too bad that the media and the public don't focus on the real heroes out there-the soldiers in Iraq, the police, teachers, doctors, nurses who actually do positive things!
