If your class needs to watch Merchant of Venice, it is the responsibility of your TEACHER, to locate the video, not the responsibility of the students!

Check with your local public library - I'm surprised your school library doesn't have a copy, or can't get a copy! Naturally, i mean normally, the English teacher would provide the film, if in fact he/she has required the "watching" - Why not get the class together and read the play aloud? Very entertaining, and you probably won't fall asleep during the reading. Act it out - really get a learning experience out of it!

Most public libraries have a video/DVD section where you can check it out.
