Traditionally considered one of the names of the magi (three wise men). Perhaps an odd choice for today's child, but a real name nonetheless. ;)

First, it's spelled Balthazar... I think it's a cool name, personally. Ever heard of the actor Balthazar Getty? Sounds good with the right last name!

It's certainly better than Jake, Aidan (and all the rhyming forms - Hayden, Caden, etc.), or Logan.... all the trendy crap.

One of the Magi or Three Wise Men was named Balthazar which is a form of Baltazar so I assume is is middle eastern!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!why do you use so many stupid question marks???????Do you think it makes you neat or clever??????...It really shows your immaturity

It's been used throughout history, for fictional characters and real people. While it isn't as common as James or Jayden, it's a valid, if offbeat, choice.
