Just downloaded a file and installed it, next thing i know i had tons of virus, i tried system restoring...?

Just downloaded a file and installed it, next thing i know i had tons of virus, i tried system restoring but then i think the virus cleared the history, today is the only day i can restore and its only 20 minutes ago, how can i system restore 1 month ago?

try typing in a time before you installed the file, if you installed it 20 minutes ago type in a time this morning and if that doesn't work you will have to use a virus scan to get rid of it such as, http://housecall.antivirus.com, works real good.

if you nor windows set a restore point to 20 days ago, then u cant restore to 20 days ago.
