id rather deal with somebody who is a hater. shallow people are just milder forms of haters anyway and usually harder to tolerate because theyre sneaky about thier hatred. i would rather the person be an upfront hater so that at least i would know how and when to deflate thier ego.

Most would probably say that both traits are present in someone that is shallow, but, I've seen a few that are shallow, yet not haters, just a bit arrogant. So I think I would rather deal with a hater. Reason being, I wouldn't feel bad calling someone a bigot. But, calling someone shallow, well, that trait is hard to prove with examples if they ask me to give one. A hater is easy to give examples for, they leave them on their sleeve so well! Someone who is superficial or shallow, tend to just be an arrogant azz with less intelligence. Not stupid, but too ignorant.
