Hey, My mom is letting me get a corn snake and i dunno what morph to get.. I like snows when they're young but adult snows look sorta ugly. Can you tell me what morph is the best out of normal, snow, ghost, candy cane, and creme scicle-- post pics of your corns that are that morph please

Thanks in advanced,

I've got several morphs, and I think I like blizzards the best. The babies are solid pink with almost no markings, but become solid white snakes as adults. And of the ones you named, I have normals, snows, a ghost, and a creamsicle. They're all real nice in their own way, so I'd say get the one you like the most.

Don't know wheter my corn is an oketee or a normal, but she's GORGEOUS! She's orange with maroon markings outlined in black. All the breeders I've talked to say she should be a normal with her combination of parents, but my "snake mentor" (aka the more experienced herper who answers all my questions and babysits while I'm on vacation) tells me that she doesn't look at all like a normal, more like an okeetee.
If I were to get a second corn, it would be a ghost! They're beautiful! I love the gray corns: anerys, charcoals and ghosts. But ghosts are my favorite out of the grays. But be careful: ghosts tend to be one of the more expensive of the corns you mentioned. Candy cane would probably cost the most, followed by creamsicle. See if you can find a local HOBBYIST breeder rather than a professional breeder. Look in the classified ads for your nearest big city's newspaper. That way, you won't have to pay shipping and someone who's breeding as a hobby can tell you more about the snakes. I still keep in contact with Scott, the hobbyist breeder I got my corn from. And usually, hobbyist breeders will charge you less. I found ghosts which seriously tempted me for $45 (hobbyist breeder, of course). That's quite a bit less than most of the major breeders would charge. Well, I found one that charged about that much, but that didn't include shipping. And you would have to pay shipping from a professional breeder. I'm not a fan of shipping snakes....too many horror stories.
I'd go with the ghost, but normals are great too. I'm not a big fan of snows either. Creamsicle looks a lot like amel, which is much less expensive. So if you have your heart set on a creamsicle look, go with an amel, they look very similar.
Join the Yahoo group for corn snakes. I'm in it, but since my groups id is different from my answers id, you may never know who I am.... (insert ominous music here)....they're really helpful, though. I joined when I first got my little scaly girl. And they helped me through everything, to the point where I can advise other begginners.
Hope this helps.

It's nice to know that some people have manners. Thanks for saying "thanks in advance".
Anyway...I think a NORMAL morph is the pretiest. Orange with red blotches outlined in black. It is also the cheapest. Blizards cost a fortune and have different demands. If you're a beginner like me, you should get a normal morph. If you get baby, a normal morph will be greyish with bergundy spots without the black outline. This is because they haven't developped thier full colours yet but will eventually become a gorgeous blend of orange, red and black.

Good luck mate and good on you! Thankyou for understanding the poor world of misunderstood corns!
I wish you all the best with your new pet!

Yeah check out the cornsnakes forum mentioned above--the photo section is awesome! I have an Amelenistic, a Butter Motley and a Hypo Lavender. I love all the morphs--it is so hard to decide and pretty soon you want one of each!! Coral snows are gorgeous. If I had to pick out of the colors you mentioned, I'd choose snow.

Canycane if you get a real good one. Check out pix of the parents if you can. You want one that keeps a white background color.
Want a real cool morph? Search out green spot snow corns. Lime green blotches on a snow white background!

I'm just shopping for my first corn snake myself.. It's all personal taste I think, though, I'm personally leaning towards either a ghost or candy cane myself...Though, I've seen some really pretty creamsicles too. They're really nice as adults too..

There's a great forum. They have a photo's section that you can search through. I would post photo links from there, but,I'm not sure if that's allowed..
