Usually from 18°C (64°F) to 23°C (73°F)
For scientific calculations, room temperature is taken to be roughly 20 to 23.5 degrees Celsius, 528 to 537 degrees Rankine (°R), or 293 to 296 kelvins (K), with an average of 21 °C, about 69.8 degrees Fahrenheit (°F).[3]. For numerical convenience, either 20 °C or 300 K is often used. However, room temperature is not a precisely defined scientific term.

It depends upon where you are doing the experiment. We can not stick to 20, 25, or anything like that. In your locality, when the room is fully opened and well ventilated condition, what temperature the wall thermometer reads is the "room temperature"

Sometimes 20 deg C is used for simplicity which is about 68 deg F. However, this temp. is a little cool for the average office worker.

There are people and companies (e.g. Bruel & Kjaer) that have analyzed the exact conditions that are most comfortable for the average person. I think 72 F is close to the optimum.

Until energy saving was encouraged, 72-74 was considered normal, now being pushed down to 68 for heating and up to 78 for cooling.
