I went shopping today and did alot of walking. I'vebeen having some cramping in my tummy and abdomen area, but it hasnt been bad. I was wondering if the walking can make me have a miscarriage. I had one 10 yrs ago, but didnt have any symptoms of it. I didnt bleed , cramp or anything. My first doc appt. is Nov. 6 and I was just wondering if I should be concerned or not.

I had sooo much cramping at the beginning of my pregnancy I thought I was about to get my period before I found out I was actually pregnant. It will go away after a little while..I walked and still do alot of walking and as long as you're not over doing yourself you are doing you and your baby some good. Keep your head up though God will take care of you and your baby!!!! Hope all is and will be well!!!!

I too was in the same position. I had a miscarriage 10 years ago and became pregnant again 2 years ago. I also had some cramping. As long as you aren't cramping really bad (as in sharp pain, accompanied by some back pain and bleeding) you will be ok. The cramping is probably from your uterus stretching. Try to take it easy the next couple of days though and make sure to stay really hydrated. Something I learned was that dehydration can lead to cramping, so make sure you drink lots of water. If anything changes, go to the nearest hospital. By the way, I had a beautiful, healthy, baby girl 19 months ago :) Good luck and keep us posted!! And TRY to relax :)

Walking is actually good while you're pregnant, just try not to overdo it. The cramping could be ligaments loosening, and stretching, I had that quite a bit early on.
I have had 3 miscarriages, and had no symptoms before any of them.

You will get really bad cramps all the time and randomly. Im 27 weeks and get them still. I was always worried that i would be having a misscarriage but all the mommys i know said it was normal. And it is. Uncomfortable, but normal. If it gets tio a point where you cant move at all then go see a doctor.

It shouldn't but you better wait to talk to the doctor before you go walking again since you are high risk. The thing is, it IS also normal to have cramping in the beginning too. But it's better to be safe than sorry, ya know?

walking won't make you miscarry... unless you are a "high risk" pregnancy. Cramping at your stage is perfectly normal, your uterus is stretching to make room for the baby.
congratulations.

Period like cramps are normal. You're fine. Your uterus is sore from changing. Just drink water and rest when you need to.
