This is tough... real tough...

He was amazing in so many movies...

I liked him a lot in Parenthood... The Jerk was a classic... and in Roxanne, he was brilliant... Father of the bride is a true classic.

But... truth be told... he did this movie... very obscure... failed in the box office... called "LA Story"... that to me was his best role... with Dirty Rotten Scoundrels being #2.

If you have not seen it, rent LA Story...

The Man with Two Brains, and The Jerk.

Some day I'd like to rent "Pennies from Heaven" and see how his tribute to 1930s-era musicals fared....

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels was also good, as he and Michael Caine had some WONDERFUL chemistry.

In no particular order: Parenthood (w/ Mary Steenburgen), Father of the Bride (w/ Diane Keaton), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (w/ Michael Caine), House Sitter (w/ Goldie Hawn) and possibly others which I can't remember offhand. There were some stinkers too!

Hey up there--the one where he adopts the little girl is Simple Twist of Fate...(like the Dylan song)

My favorites...ahhh, The Jerk is one of my fav. movies, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Roxanne are great. I love everything he has ever done...

Without a doubt "My Blue Heaven"
I also really enjoyed the one where he adopts the little girl..kind of a take on Silas Marner.
Peace.
