I mean, they seem to think its some kind of huge jewish conspiracy.

Perhaps they don't realize that Isreal is one of the only democracys (save new Iraq) in the entire middle east, and it only makes sense that we would help our allies.

I'm a liberal and Jewish and completely agree with you. I don't know the answer to this. It is upsetting because the liberals stand for all that is good and the conservatives stand for all that is evil, with the exception of this one issue - which to me is very important.

Please correct your comment about Iraq, though. Iraq is not a democracy, it is a puppet government controlled by the Bush regime. If whoever is "in charge" of Iraq does something that Bush or the people who control Bush don't like, there will be new "elections" and someone more pro-Bush will take over.

I've never understood why some people think we should expect *less* of democracies and not more.

I personally have very low expectations of the religious zealots, dictators and plain 'ole carpetbaggers who run most of the middle east.

Israel is *supposed* to be a modern western liberal democracy, so when they do objectively bad things, I feel no need to cut them any slack. They're *supposed* to be the good guys. They're *supposed* to know better.

And the US government doesn't help things by pandering.

Democracies must always be held to the highest possible standards. We do democracy no favors by letting things slide.

1. Liberals do NOT hate the USA
2. Recognizing that some Israeli policies are oppressive and perpetuate terrorism does not equate to hatred of the US or Israel.
3. I'm guessing that you overlooked the fact that the US was behind the overthow of Iran's democratically elected leader to install the Shah of Iran.

I am very liberal and I know that most of us don't hate helping Israel. I think Israel is a great country and the Israelis turned a mainly deserted piece of land into a great nation. They are the ones who really build up that country into what it is today.

I think most liberals are open to new ideas and we are more likely to consider points from people that have different views.

Because Israel doesn't act responsibly. I'm not a lib either. I don't want to watch the US get dragged into conflicts because Israel wants to be a bully on the middle east block.
How many Jews are there in public offices compared to say, black people? Or, Latinos? Considering there is a small percentage of Jewish people in the US there is a lot that hold public offices. That is disturbing. The offices should be held up to Affirmative action policies like every other place that employs people.
What kind of nation is Lebanon? A nation that would be an ally of the US except for the US giving Israel bombs to drop on Lebanon and kill civilians, including children, without discretion. That sickens me.

Why do republicans hate helping Americans in America?

I think you meant to say rebels not liberals, usually terrorists would be considered more conservative then liberal, they hate Israel because they believe that the son of Hagar was the rightful owner of the Israeli nation not the son of Sarah.

Liberals don't hate the USA. Now what's your question again?

Because since liberals are always emotiony on war, they see the Israeli troops defending Israel by going on preemptive strikes against Gaza as fascist,Nazi-like(hehe can you believe these retards?)or xenophobic.
