By writing down your worries in a special notebook. Then writing after each one, What's the worse that can happen? ... What can I do about it? ... Is it beyond my control? ... And then filling in the blanks. It's a form of cognitive therapy. And it does work. Honest.
Make this a habit and you'll find yourself worrying less. Write this down too: "90% of what I worry about will never happen." I did this once, and lost the slip of paper on which it was written. I found it more than twenty years later. None of the things I worried about then have come to pass. Not a single one.
Be good to yourself!

It depends on what kind of worry your having. If it is like ocd then I suggest you find a way to beat it because that will make it much better! If your worring about someone or something you care about then that is a little more complicated. You could trying praying or checking on them periodically. As long as it doesn't become an obsetion. Trying keeping busy both physically and mentally that will take your mind off of things. And if it is really serious then see a psychologist because theropy really helps!
God Bless,
Evan

It is normal to worry about things. However, excessively dwelling on the worrisome things in your life can bring about depression. Then there are a whole host of other mental AND physical maladies that come with depression.
Occupy your mind with other things. What do you enjoy doing? Walking? Playing cards? Video games? Reading? Do something that takes your mind off of your worries. This will enable you to teach yourself to how to take your mind off of your worries. When you find yourself worrying about something so much to the point of paranoia say to yourself: "you know what? I think it's time to do **activity**. Because I enjoy it and it will help me relax and take my mind off of this worry." Then do that activity and destress.
Better yet, empty your mind through meditations coupled with breathing excercises. Find a soothing mantra (meaningful word or phrase which is personal and heartfelt in nature) that you can repeat to yourself in your mind while doing your meditation. Or just concentrate on your breathing. Focus on the physical inhalation of the air. Close your eyes and imagine you ARE the air you are inhaling. Imagine yourself outside of your body and being sucked into your nose through your sinuses down your trachea and filling your lungs. Then imagine the reverse as you exhale. Concentrate on NOTHING else but your breathing. Take comfortable, controled DEEP breaths slowly through your nose and exhale smoothly and long by regulating the amount of air you let through your mouth by pursing your lips. Inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth. Do this for no shorter than 10 minutes. And remember to be patient. This will not AUTOMATICALLY cure your worries. Just close your eyes, relax, concentrate on your breathing and with each breath empty the thoughts in your mind.
I hope this helps. However, medication WILL NOT HELP YOU! I advise you to stay away from ALL pharmaceuticals which alter your mood or brain chemistry unless you have been diagnosed with a serious chemical imbalance. In that case a doctor would have to perform many tests and obviously a second opinion on that diagnostic nature is always advised.

First, what is the cause of your paranoia? Do you use drugs? If so, there is your answer, as drug addicts are often paranoid. If other things are the source of your paranoia, such as another person who models paranoia for you, then you may need to surround yourself with more positive people. Finally, a strong belief system in God often gives people a security that nothing else in the world can give.

Breath.
When you see someone or something doing something that will irritate you, take a long stare, breath, and use your senses, common sense to be more precises. This is a really hard thing to fix, but it is fixable, you just have to take it slow, try accepting whats bothering you, put it in your head that it is that way and don't think twice about it. Everyone gets paranoid, it is just a matter of how they manage it. Enjoy life, if something is lost or stolen, then they obiously need it more then you do.

Ok, think about the worst thing that could happen... and seriously consider how this will affect you... If you believe in God then no matter what happens in life, like death, you and your loved ones will be in heaven together... Worrying is unhealthy so take deep breaths and tell yourself the chances of something going wrong are very slim and in the end you will be fine!

If you like to do needlework try doing some while watching or listening to tv or the radio. If you have trouble sleeping because your mind won't quit try watching really boring or old tv or listen to the radio. Try reading a book you liked lots but won't find exciting, it might put you to sleep. It's hard to stop worrying about stuff sometimes. Have you tried writing down the stuff that bothers you? Sometimes seeing it helps it look less important. My mom used to say, "don't worry about anything important after 8pm" and it's really good advice (but hard to follow sometimes). I hope you feel better fast.

One way is to keep answering questions and helping people on Y/A! I would say you have to focus on the positive things in your life. Try to prioritize your tasks and maintain good health. I am a worrier also. Many times I worry about things I can't possibly control, and most times things turn out OK. Good luck to you.

Everyone worries about things to one degree or another. If you think you're paranoid or paranoid/schizophrenic, seek some psychiatric advice. What works for me ain't the same as what will work for you...
