Only pro game I went to that went to OT was the second game of the 87 Canada Cup Final. We had seats in the last row of the building. We moved down to the bottom of the uppe tier for the first OT and for the second we got a spot right behind the Russian net. Mario eventually stuffed in a rebound about midway through the second OT and when we looked around there were maybe 4,000 people left. It was a week night but how could you leave before it was over?

No, but who wouldn't stay considering it would be a play-off game. You'd be out of your tree to leave.
The longest one I remember watching on TV until the wee hours was this one-
May 4, 2000, Flyers vs. Pittsburgh Penguins. The battle of Pennsylvania saw the Flyers play the Penguins in an extended playoff game, to say the least. 60 minutes of regulation gave way to 60 minutes of sudden death overtime, before Keith Primeau eventually scored in the "unofficial Game 6" of the series which was the third longest game in NHL history.

Only one playoff game I've been to went into overtime. Just part of one period though. Wade Redden of Ottawa put one past the Flyers' Roman Cechmanek on the night of Cechmanek's alleged "meltdown". Strange night, it was.

Nope. I've only been to one playoff game and that was the 6-3 Leafs win against the Islanders. Same game where Tucker made that hit on Peca. I think it was game 5....

No, but the shortest game I ever went to was
my first. Just as I found my seat a player
did a slap shot from center ice and it went
over the goal and everything else. It went
into the stands and cracked a lady in the head
and they carried her off in a stretcher. I turned
around and went home.

I've been to several, and I have left early. As a scout, when you have a plane top catch to be somewhere else, your boss expects you to be somewhere else.
