In my own personal opinion... I give him props for doing what he's done. His lyrics may not be the best. But i love his songs simply because i'm a person that likes to dance. That crank dat song is the best, i have fun doing it...he has everybody and their grandma doing his dance. I saw him in concert on the 23rd...and i actually liked it. Right now it seems as if the music industry is signing artists to make music that people want to hear..Soulja boy is doing that and has been doing that..I've been a fan from way back when he was on www.soundclick.com YOOOUUUUAAAAA!!!!!!

The song is catchy to me because I like the steel pans in the beat. Crank Dat. The song isnt bad. I catch myself doing the dance time to time.
How do I feel about him: I think he's more appealing to the teenagers than he is to adults. His music is made for teens (ie. songs as Soulja Girl, and Sidekick), and that's who's mainly his fan base. I am not a fan of his, because his music doesn't appeal to me. The song is a fad that will die out soon by another dance craze. I like musicians whose lyrics focus on more serious issues. That's just me.

straight up honestly? I think that he's fine for DANCE MUSIC, but I don't like people billin him as a legit hip hop artist..he's not...that's what I get pissed about..he's not a serious artist
