Atomic weights: Na=23 Cl=35.5 NaCl=58.5

Let the solution be called S.

5.84gNaCl/1LS x 1molNaCl/58.5gNaCl = 0.1 mole NaCl per L S, which is molarity.

Well, NaCl is 58.44 g/mol and in 1 liter of H20, that would make it .100 molar.
