You can but you have to obey Yahoo's guidelines... I do understand there is a flaw in their reporting system though.
Yahoo is a business and has the right to require ppl to not be insulting, harassing, etc... to make the rules.

Yahoo has a list of rules that you should read before you start posting or answering. These rules are not overly harsh, they mostly leave it up to the participants to monitor what is asked & answered, with a few limits. I don't think that Yahoo is doing most of the censoring, others who are reading the questions & answers are doing most of the censoring. There are some who go too far & should be censored. This is a site that those over the age of 13 can visit, some of the things I have read on here are not fit for an adult, let alone a teenager! I have censored others for things I feel do not belong in an open forum, not often but, I have done it. Also, I have been censored for ranting! I do have a tendency to get carried away!

You cannot speak freely here because Yahoo is not a Democracy. It is a business and is providing a free service to express viewpoints within its guidelines. If you really want free speech, it available. All you have to do is buy your own website and do anything to your heart's desire. But there are some consequences. You will be legally responsinle for the content of yourself as well as the users. And you could be sued for libel or other legal infractions. Guess that might explain why Yahoo censors and doesn't let people get away with everything.

Yahoo Answers is not a public forum--it is provided by a private vendor. If you are here, you've agreed to the Terms and Conditions. Within that framework, you can say anything you like.
If that doesn't suit you, fine-there are plenty of other places on the Internet you can go. But its their property and they have every right to make what rules they see fit--and they are under no obligation, legal or ethical--to allow the use of THEIR facilities in ways they don''t think appropriate.

Yahoo is private, not public. Your right to freely speak does not extend to private property.
