I am mad and my anger covers both the Republicans and Democrats. Both parties are allowing the costs of the war to accrue through deficit spending. When Dems question the costs, Repubs howl about not supporting the troops. This entire congress is nothing but an irresponsible collection of gutless wonders. I will vote against all incumbents in Nov. of 2008, the whole spineless lot of them.

We can spend almost a half a trillion dollars on the war, but God forbid we help the poor here. Maybe if we called some healthcare bills "the war on microbes" or something like that, the trigger happy people of the nation would be more for it.

I don't know where you live, but I am even hearing people at the VA hospital piping up about how much they hate Bush and this Iraq war. Veterans are a pretty conservative bunch, too.
I know only one person who supports the war, and he is a very stupid, hateful man who thinks seatbelts kill and global warming is a fake, etc. etc. He also likes to dress as a priestly child molester for Halloween. So there you go. He is the only one.

Because they are too worried that their tax may go up a bit to help some unfortunate who has been laid off, has no health insurance, has come upon hard times etc.
They do NOT seem to grasp that this illegal invasion of Iraq will cost them much more.

The majority of US citizens are very angry. Sure there is a population of undereducated, misinformed people out there who will support the war at any cost, but many...MANY are angry. Unfortunately, our government has capitalized on our fears of terrorism and has convinced us to give up our liberties...it is sad...We are a society of people paralyzed by fear...paranoia...and a government willing to go to any lengths to justify its wrongs...sad...

I think people are getting madder and madder. The real reason is that people are stupid. Once the middle class is eliminated, I think people will understand things a little better, but it will be too late.

it was okay at first because people lived in fear of another 9/11. but that effect is starting to wear off so you see more and more people getting angry about it and relinquishing their support of the president.
