Solve for X
( 4 ) / (x^2 + 10x + 24) / =
( 4) / (x + 4 )

4/(x²+10x+24) = 4/(x+4)
4/[(x+4)(x+6)] = 4/[x+4]
4/(x+6) = 4
1/(x+6) = 1
x+6 = 1
x = -5

You can factor the quadratic to get
4/ (x+4)*(x+6) = 4/(x+4)
Since there 4/(x+4) is common to both sides,
1 = 1/(x+6) or x=-5.
