I'm 30 years old now. But I ran away the first time when I was 15, then 16, 17 and last time at 19. I was raised in a perfect home. My parents weren't abusive, they didn't drink, fight or do drugs. I was just a rebel. They didn't let me have a boyfriend so I ran away to 'teach them.' What a crock of sh** that was. I don't regret ever running away because I came home safe. But now that I'm older, I thank God that I wasn't raped or killed out there on the streets. I was crazy. I wouldn't do it again, that's for sure. If you're thinking about it, don't. You'll grow up one and wish to be at home in your parents home nice and safe with no worries.

Running away is not a desirable option. The streets are dangerous, and many times the people you think of as friends will turn out to be the most dangerous of all after you run away. It is best to confront your problems than running from them, an easy thing to say and most times a difficult thing to do. If physical abuse is a problem, call children's services, or just call the police. If it is a stressful situation, try to discuss it with your parents. Just running from a problem won't make it go away. E-mail follows.

Yes, when I was in the 10th grade. I had a fight with my Mom and left with nothing except my dog and a jacket. I returned home in time for dinner. Running away doesn't solve anything. You should try and talk it out. Good luck! Be smart and don't run away. If something bad is being done to you run to someone you know can help you. Don't just run away to wherever. Prayer can help too.

I think when I was, like, 7 I 'ran away'. In reality, I just went on a dirt road I liked to go on and brought some toys and stayed for about half an hour.

Yes, I did. I wanted to get away from my life as I knew it. But it didn't take long for the police to pick me up. Return me home. At the time I was just 16, I moved out and Back in with my Dad. Right after my 18th birthday. So all is good. Just hang in there, okay. Good Luck if you need someone to talk to hit me up on spitfiregirl_85@yahoo.

Yes, when I was 13 or 14. I lived under a bridge for 2 days. My friends brought me food. The ironic part is I don't even think my parents knew I was gone. I think they thought I was staying with a friend. Oh well.

No, but my daughter did. I thought that I was going to die. She had had a horrible experience with a boy and thought that she could run far away from everyhthing. When I found her, she was living in a park and sleeping on the top of a slide for safety. She was cold, scared, starving. She was so glad to see me that neither one of us could stop crying. Do you want to email me.?? Please use the link on my name. I will talk to you privately. gabbylynne.

i have never ran away because it really is useless. if you want to solve a problem, confront it, dont run away from it. I know things can get tough, but running away wont make ANYTHING better...trust me.

i hoped i helped a bunch :]

Yes, when my dog died. I was only 7 and didn't know what else to do so I packed up a bag of toys and left my house, returning later when I realised I couldn't sell toys for food...
