Should i change half of his water into distilled water ? I used tap ..i got him in the morning. Hes the "quiet" type of fish, the other two companions have adhd ( :P ) and are are hyper lol. Im really concerned I hate to see him die, if you tap the wall exactly 6 times he goes up automatically!

You might want to consider putting an anxiolytic in the water to reduce his anxiety. I recommend Valium.

Yes your fish is stressed. He probablt has the beginnings of ICK, a disease that is common in tankfish.
Adding a copper penny or two or three will help. Copper has ions that attract other ions in the water, the toxins will attach to the copper and reduce the stress. Then go to the fish store and tell the fish guy (NOT Wal-Mart or Petsmart or Petco or other big pet store - the small store) and ask about an additive that will help reduce toxins and stress from a possible disease.
Yes, it is normal for goldfish to suck up stuff from the bottom and spit out their poop. Goldfish also will eat live bugs, worms, dead flies, and cooked rice. But in a pinch they will will eat algae and bottom biota (the little teeny tiny organisms that live in and break down their poop) and survive for years on it.

That is typical goldfish spawning behaviour . The male (chaser) is chasing and nudging the other to intise the others who are probably female to have eggs. By rising the temperature up and feeding them live foods, the nudging should and bashing should intense resulting in a tired and stressed female. The female should release her eggs once tired and the male will spray his milt over the eggs. the water will become very cloudy. Do not change the water. ( it is goldfish sperm) After about usually 4 hours, remove the eggs or you could leave them in if you do not wish to raise the eggs to fry. The parents love to eat their own eggs! You can also remove the female if she is real stressed or batted. (torn fin, etc)
If your male is swimming and eating well with an erect fin, then no he is not stressed. Spawning behaviour is a sign that all is well in the tank.
Hope this helps

If he was stressed he wouldn't be swimming around and it it usually caused by moving him alot and stuff like that. That sounds pretty normal to me but if he persists for more then say 24 hours or else happens I'd suggest taking him to a vet just to make sure everything is ok. Did you use conditioner for the water? Because the problem may be the PH level as some tap water isn't safe for them due to the chlorine and other chemicals in it. Good Luck.

If you got him in the morning then yes he's stressed and don't do a water change! You have to allow the water to sit at least a day or add water conditioner and let water come to room temperature.

Fast movement makes me think he's a coment so good luck on his lifespan, they may die after a few days if you didn't allow them to go into a set up tank, if they do get a fantail.
Do you have gravel in the tank, if the water gets dirty in a day or too use a gravel pump

Feed non flaked food to keep the water clear.
You didn't mention the size of the tank or filtration
And gold fish are bottom feeders, so they will pick up anything taste it to see if its food if not spit it out, if the fish is sitting at the bottom of the tank doing almost nothing it may mean he's shocked and the water needs condtioned he may be gone tommorow ;( this is why coments are cheap goldfish.

put a wallpaper around the tank...then he won't hit the walls so often. and you should add conditioner to the tap water...it kills the chemicals. good luck.
