Sex with a patient. You should have been "struck off" for being dumb!!! As you point a finger at the british veterinary council and calling them names you have 4 fingers pointing right back at you. How fitting.

What a worry to see that people actually cannot see that this is a JOKE. It is difficult to believe that there are so many people of such a low intellect out there. Sky Witch seems particularly challenged. It's a wonder they know how to turn the computer on.
Let alone a sheep.

I see it as wrong. Your patients come to you in confidence thinking that you are there to treat them not hook up with them. If you liked one of your patients AND wanted to act on it you should have had her reassigned to another doctor. That would have eliminated any conflicts of interest and you could have made you move then. Since you did not, you violated the patient/doctor bond by engaging in a relationship with her. If things went wrong on her end, she could have made things really bad for you legally. As a doctor, not only are you bound by the law but you are also bound by ethics. You may not have broken the law in the relationship but you failed to hold to the ethics of being a physician. Next time, make the person someone elses patient. You'll save yourself a whole lot of trouble then.

You know what they say... business is business and personal is personal. I do not agree with them stripping your license just because you had sex with one of your patients as long as it was not during work hours and nowhere near the workplace and she consented to it. How did they find out in the first place? Next time before you do something like that think about your future or you will mess yourself up again. Was it really worth it? I know sometimes we think with our other heads but it definitely does not sound like you are in a great situation presently. Good luck!

I empathize; I've lost jobs for something that I shouldn't have lost them for also. It's sad, however, those rules are the rules. If you broke that one, than every other surgeon that lost their license would be pretty mad and other surgeons would start up with it, too. If you have those rules as a surgeon, you just can't break them. Justice and Morality don't always mix.

If it was the owner of one of your patients I just don't see the problem if it was not at the office and she consented to this date. If it was you patient god help you. In all reality though how much different is it then dating some one you work with..

I think It may be accepted but with the light level.
Such as, your patient can enjoy sex by a touch, or by eyes.
A pat of the different gender can creat a different in his or her emotion and it's good for their health

A person or a patient? Either way, your professional ethics should have told you to keep your pants on. Don't give the "I was an excellent surgeon (I deserve less punishment)" line.

You shouldn't combine personal life with the workforce. I don't think I could ever look at my doctor the same way again if she OR HE wanted to have sex with me.
Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww. That's gross!
