I died my hair really dark brown. Funnily enough, when I died it darker people thought it was my natural hair color, cause my eyebrows are naturally very dark. When my hair grew out, people kept asking me if I died my hair, lol.
I was treated a little bit differently. People thought I was a lot older than I was, so I actually liked the difference. But unfortunately, some people do discriminate if you are beautiful and blonde. They automatically assume you are stupid, even if you are the smartest person in the world. But if you want to die your hair, do it! Don't worry about what other people will say.

Yes. My natural color is very light brown. I tinted it black when is was 17.It was a very strong shade for me but I pulled it off.
I am a hairstylist so I have had just about every color at one time or the other.
I have been a red-head for 30 years now. I love red hair. I believe I was treated a bit different when I once did my hair a dark brown. Not a good shade for me either. I love dark hair but have to stick with the lighter tones because of skin coloring. I look washed out with dark hair.

I have my hair highlighted all the time, and no, I don't get treated any differently because it is still too close to my natural hair color.

I dyed my hair from time to time, and it is fun. Nobody seemed to treat me different. It was the usual initial comments of "I like you hair" only for the first week when people notice then everyone gets use to it.

Yeah, I dyed my hair and people laughed. I learned something.. if you have albinism DON'T try to dye your hair yourself. It WILL come out puke colored no matter what dye you use. lol Good times good times. And then I wound up with fire engine red. Now I've learned to just be happy with by platinum blond hair and not try to mess with it.
