If people don't like Rush than make your own radio show. Why do people have to make a law to censor talk radio. This is the biggest form of censorship I've seen in a long time.

I just hate it.

Yes it does, which is why it was overturned in the first place.
If you were told that you can't state/publish your point of view until you stated/published the opposite point of view, and you would be silenced until you DID state/publish the opposite point of view, that would indeed be censorship.

It is also censorship of political speech to restrict it from being expressed in order to present another view.

Yes, it is an assault on capitolism. Liberal talk radio can not compete. Air America has gone bankrupt and has no listeners. The libs want to silence conservative talk radio by forcing equal air time for libs. The radio stations will be forced to drop talk radio when confronted with airing 3 to 4 hours of non revenue producing leberal radio as opposed to cash cows like Hannity or Rush.

No because the airwaves belong to the public and are only licensed to the station's owners. The public is able to set the terms of the licenses through its representative, in this case the FCC. The owners have agreed to this prior to beginning broadcasting.

Cable tv, satellite, print media, and internet are not so covered for what I hope are obvious reasons.

The Fairness doctrine has not been reinstated. Nor do I support its reinstatement. But it would not CENSOR talk radio, it would require time for alternative views to his -- that is not censorship.

No. It doesn't prohibit any speech. It allows the voicing of additional opinions, so it enhances freedom of speech.

Hey, I thought liberals dominated the media - shouldn't you cons be in favor of this law so you can get your point of view expressed?
