Neither, it is more important for you to be independent. To truly love someone you shouldn't 'need' or 'want' them. That is unfair to depend on your spouse like that. Your spouse just wants you to be happy with yourself, you shouldn't need your spouse to make you feel wanted or needed, I'm sorry to say this but if you do, you may be insecure? There is a great freedom that comes with loving yourself and being comfortable in your own skin...truly its bliss!

Wanted...it's always nice to feel wanted. I would think that being needed all the time would start to feel like the person is taking advantage of you.

In my personal opinion, WANTED! Although it feels great when someone can't do something with out you or needs you for whatever it is, its better to kno that this person is capable of performing all their to-dos, and still wants you in their life.

Wanted because we all desire to be sexy. That is under the category wanted not really needed.
As well as intellectually. We want to be viewed as a spice of life not bread.

I would chose 'wanted'. It's nice to know that someone needs you in their life, but I'd want to feel wanted. It's hard to explain the reasoning behind it.

Wanted, because needed implies not having a choice about being with you
