I am!! Thank god they lost. That should take Tebow out of the running for the Heisman, so we can stop hearing about how great he is and how he is a front runner. He is a good QB at best in a really good system, and he still losses 3 games and possibly more. Goodbye Florida, goodbye Tebow, can we finally talk about someone, anyone else.

If Dennis Dixon doesn't move up to #2 in the Heisman poll this week then something is wrong. He has better overall stats then Ryan and Tebow's team has lost 3 now. Granted that there are some great players out there but the Heisman seems to always go to a player on a possible BCS Championship team. It isn't alwasy fair but there are a lot of players who have been left out in the past for the same reason. This should be the top 5 in the new Heisman Poll.
1. Matt Ryan
2. Dennis Dixon
3. Colt Brennan
4. Tim Tebow
5. Darren McFadden

Amen. The problem is that Tebow gets more press. Every Saturday you know that a SEC game will played at 3:30 (et) on CBS and then there will be a SEC game at 7:45 (et) on ESPN. As for Dixon (used to watch him in high school) and the Ducks. Most of their games are regional broadcasts on ABC, which means only part of the country gets them.
Today was a good example: CBS (non-cable network) at 3:30 (EDT) Tebow was on. Dixon and the Ducks playing USC were on at 3:00 (EDT) on FSN (a cable cable).
I went to the Stanford-Oregon game at Stanford. Dixon played great, but it was over at 11:00 pm (PDT), which was 2 am (EDT) and how many people will be up watching on the east coast, while Tebow is on in prime time.
That is the reason for the lack of attention.

Tebow has the advantage of playing on the East Coast and also the fact the SEC games are always on TV. I know Dixon looked great against Mich but I have to be honest other than that I have not seen him play.

You're right. I think Tebow got the most press because everyone mistakenly thought that the SEC was the best conference.
After this weekend, I think everyone will re-evaluate their selections and Dixon should benefit.

Tebow is the best in the league no dought. hace you ever spelled team with "Tim Tebow" in it??? no fact is that if the Gators loose it's the team that lost not Tim Tebow becides if the Flordia Gators had a hole team of Tim Tebows and maby a Regie Nelson or two they would win everything every year forever

tebow is definitely a good QB, and if you rate him on his performance today than yall are dumb (he had a hurt shoulder and i think you need a good shoulder to play well), dixon reminds me of vince young, and i like dixon alot, but tebow deserves all of the attention ( and sayin he will be the next rex grossman is absurd, go talk about ping pong)

tebow is a great QB but having 3 losses before november could hurt his heisman chances. unfortunately nobody outside the pac-10 will know who dixon is. but i certainly do and i think he should be considered a heisman candidate. he is likely the next vince young but not as strong.

dixon has deserved more heisman attention than he's been getting all year. the problem is that no one on the east coast gets to see him play. hell no one east of boise gets to see him!! he is by far and away the best all around qb in college football hands down. say what you want but as far as the all around game dixon is it. he won't win it tho and it all boils down to the incredible tv contract that the pac 10 has. for gods sakes why wouldn't you schedule the best college football game of the year on national tv mr comissioner. what a no brain dufus!!
