It is laziness and piggishness. I watch these Feed the Children commercials and then I see those fat pigs parking in handicap spots and riding those electrical carts in WalMart and I just want to slap them silly. We even have diet pills for dogs while children are starving.
Most of the fat slobs are "under the poverty level"...can you believe that we have fat poor people. Then they ain't poor.
Slobs, just slobs that's all and most of the men who park there and use the electric carts wear wife beater shirts with fat arms and pimply hairy armpits showing. The women have the sides of their butt cheeks hanging off the side of the seat and usually have oily hair.
Jeez, no wonder the Muslims do not want our values imported to their world....and that does not even consider Britney and Paris and Rap and other filth....but I digress

I'm a nurse and this is a conversation I've had with a doctor. Granted being "over weight" is heredity. Being obese is going overboard. The Doctor told me that there are literally thousands of obese people. Being obese gives a person respiratory problems (breathing) and it is hard on the persons back, hips, legs and feet due to the extra weight. More obese people are becoming disabled instead of exercise. If a person is obese they can apply for S.S.I. (social security income) and get approved.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were but it shouldn't be. Unless there is a medical reason (certain meds cause weight gain) there is really no excuse for a person to be obese. Exercises and diet always worked wonders.

I am a big girl and I hate that to...I walk my butt into a store just like everyone else. I can't stand seeing big people riding around in those things, it's just lazy.

Obesity is not a disability... it is a lifestyle disease.... But your reason for your question is rather unusual and.... never mind, anyways, hope i helped you with that confusion...

well, it is considered a disease, but some cant be controlled by normal means. there is a disease which prevents people from burning fat and carbs, so in some cases, yes.
