Last I heard, Al Gore's real estate company was buying up vacation waterfront property in Greenland, the Arctic and the Antarctic. Good to see someone putting their money where their mouth is.

Arkansas is nice, as the lakes don't freeze in the winter.. If you move to Arkansas, be sure to carefully check out the lake you want to move to because some lakes are governed by the Corp of Engineers, and they may limit you in putting in docks, or owning actual lake front property.. (ie Lake Norfork) You can check out their regulations via MOUNTAIN HOME RESIDENT OFFICE, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, P.O. Box 369, Mountain Home, Arkansas 72653. (870)425-2700. Arkansas taxes are low, but keep in mind they tax you on things that other states don't..

Have a look at Lake Powell. I am not sure about the taxes but it is affordable.

The only other choice is to move to South America.

Property taxes in the South I would think would, generally speaking, have lower property taxes than those lake areas in the north or west.

When you find out, LET ME KNOW!
We love boating and water sports.
I don't think you will find anything though.
