Every year Over 1 million children under the age of 15 experience accidents in and around the home every year, for which they are taken to Accident and Emergency Units. Many more are treated by General Practitioners and by parents and carers. Those most at risk from a home accident are the 0-4 years age group.

Madeleine McCann was 3 years old when she was left alone in an unfamiliar foreign apartment.

While the highest rate of fatalities for accidents to the 0-4 year old age group are the result of fires, next comes falls or trips particularly down steps and onto hard surfaces.

The McCann apartment unlocked back door was situated up a steep flight of steps.

The issues you cover here are cause for concern, and I think it IS everyone's business, as the Team are making sure of that. They are not putting this stuff out and expecting everyone to be tight lipped. They are expecting it to be discussed, but obviously they would hope that opinion would go in their favour. At present it would seem not, and that is because there are so many unanswered questions, and that is why people are asking them. I think you have every right to discuss this case in any way you see fit. There is nothing offensive in the sort of scenario you raise - you have quoted statistics, and in this particular case, when suspects are not prepared tp answer valid queries, we are bound to consider them. It's called human nature and a quest for the truth, of which we appear to have been told little, and an opportunity to exchange views.

As you're saying your self, that's in straightforward terms a thought, yet I believe the different posters. i think of the Tapas 7 are unlikely to have cooperated. Glen nelg provides the terrific thought yet that i've got heard of what might have exceeded off that detrimental night.

I dont understand all these theories flying around. Dont get me wrong - I think the fact that litte Madeleine is missing is a tragedy BUT I find the fascination that some people on here have over the case a bit disturbing. Its almost like its being treated as a real life game of Cluedo. Whatever happened to her, its for the police to find out and charge the offender if thats the case or find the little girl if she's alive. I dont think guessing games about her on the internet really help anyone xx

I would like to know why the twins weren`t taken instead, they are younger and if they were found they wouldn`t be able to describe the abductors, Madeline would, this was a tragic accident with the parents and the party that evening covering up, Kate is more and more distressed because the police are closer to finding out what really happened

What are the statistics for meddling morons that involve themselves in unfamiliar situations and quote Statistics to create an air of authority.

I would suggest that you also check on parallel studies for low hormome production in these individuals.

***Quote*** - "How can you comment, have you ever even met these people? Who are you to judge, were you there when she went missing? If not, enough said............."

Neither were her parents!!!!!

***Quote**** - "where is the proof that any of the doors were unlocked?
'cause if you can't prove that then your theory is scuppered."

actually, the parents themselves said the doors were unlocked.
