ok so my mom is looking for the name and address of the old haunted house she lived in in St.Louis Missouri. The house has since been torn down but wants to know if there is a way to find out the name and history of the house. She knows it's off of Kings Highway and around Fladd Street and it was close to a corner house. Do you know how we could find out about it seeing as we don't live in Missouri anymore?

any websites or anything else?

well without knowing the address it's going to be pretty hard. You can try contacting the town hall where she used to live, there might be someone there who used to remember the house, or someone who could tell her the address. Once she has the address, she can look it up at the library and see if the house was ever in the newpaper for something strange, or she can go to the county courthouse and see if she can get old blueprints or something of the house. Good luck.

I don't know of that, but St Louis has the Lemp Mansion which is frequented by the Lavender Lady ghost - they do mystery dinners and weddings there besides great dining. Some people have stayed there and freaked out

For holiday fun: Nearby the mansion, the Lemp Brewery haunted house takes you down to the Haunted Cave during Halloween, there is also a Haunted Hotel in St Charles during the season - other Haunted Houses too.

The real places in St. Louis where the exorcism was held (the one that was the basis for The Exorcist) are mostly gone (there were actually several sites, but the movie centers on one instead) - but the one that had the most activity for the rituals on St Louis University campus was torn down and a parking lot put in its place. The spot where the room would be if the place was still there has to be continually fixed, as large cracks form in the parking lot on that spot. They have no other explanation why.

There are other haunted sites and i tried to find the one you were talking about, but I'm not sure if you might be speaking of the exorcist was... but i found a link with a list of names of some haunted houses there... hope this helps
