Can you cut nice clean slices or do you mangle the poor thing?

half vertically ... then those halves vertically 3 times ... each sliver is just right to spread on toast or for a taco

Cut the avocado into half all the way around. Once you have done that, simply twist the top and bottom portion. One side will have the seed on it. Using your knife, hit the seed and twist - the seed should come right out leaving you with 2 perfect halves.
Then cup each half and use your knife to slice it (do not cut through the skin). Once you're done, use a spoon to scoop the insides out. You should get perfect clean slices :)

Or check out the link below, he does it the same way as I described, but he spoons out the avocado before chopping it up. Pictures included.

cut 3 line diagonal 4 lines horizontal, scoop out with a spoon. i still manage to mangle it lol =)

I cut it in half then gently peel away the skin then neatly slice them in perfectly even slices with a very sharp knife!

I cut it in half then get the stone out then scoop the insides out.

I dont like avacados, They are yuck. But they are fun to cut.

I use a knife. Amazing invention. Works much better than a spoon.
