My patience is short, I don't want to be bother, and the smallest thing gets on my nerve. I just want to be left alone until I feel better.

I've notice that when I'm ill, my mood changes and wonder did this happen to anyone else. No. I am not depress! I am here for answers.

Oh, yeah...I am a BEAR when I'm sick. The kids learned a long, long time ago to just leave me to wallow in my misery alone.

Thankfully, I don't have times when I don't feel well so I can't comment on what I would be like if I didn't. I must say though, that I don't always answer the phone if I don't feel like trivial conversations and I wonder if I am becoming anti-social, but in my line of work I am constantly on the phone so I think I have a good excuse for ignoring it when I am off work.

slk said it for me....I live alone with my two little Shi-tzus and don't work anymore. I don't have a problem with being short-tempered. If I don't feel well ( as with my recent knee replacement surgery) I don't like to really be alone. I like sympathy and lots of it! LOL Now if I get a head-ache, which I'm so lucky that I only have maybe one a year, then I'd rather be quiet and alone but I still don't get grumpy.

Since I live alone, I don't have those problems. I go to work anyway and take care of someone who is disabled, so at no time can I afford to be short tempered. When I am finished work, I just go home and enjoy the stillness and my pets love me anyway.. I normally don't get in bad moods though

Yes, things can get on my nerves when I get my migraine/nausea spells. If I'm out somewhere I just get this 'ill' feeling. I get home as soon as I can and go to bed until it's over, sometimes 2-3 days. My husband checks on me and brings me anything if I need it, but he knows there's not much that can be done until I feel better again.
I hope you feel better real soon.

Why are you here Gem? Are you suffering from depression ? Do you need our help with something. Tell us what kind of music you like and I'll try to find it for you. I always feel better when I have my music on. I actually felt like that all day today ,but I think it is from the weather.(dark and rainy)

Absolutly. If I'm feeling not too good but still functioning.....it's almost like I will make you suffer right along with me. LOL But if I'm really down...I am as quiet as a church mouse...I want to be left alone...about the only thing that will tick me off is if you keep bugging me asking "how ya feelin? Better yet?" every 5 minutes.

I get very short-tempered and just want to be alone. And I dont want anyone else to have any fun either. And I dont want to hear the loud television. Or smell food cooking. I guess you could say not fit to be around.

No, I don't think so. It does when I am short of sleep. I am impatient, short tempered, and cranky. Just like a small child. Sometimes I have to give myself a good talking to!

I sympathize with your not feeling good. My ex-wife was a mood swinger from He**. Whether she felt good or not. One day she asked me, "Do you always feel the same everyday when you wake up?" I said yes. I didn't know of any other way. So now, it's just me in the house, and everything is as stable as a pool table.
