Race and IQ?

It is proven that Hispanics, Blacks and Hawaiians have lower IQ compare to White people(Europeans, Middle easterners), and Asians... Why if someone talk about the truth people think it is racist...

Actually the Asians pretty much beat everyone when it comes to IQ.

Remember, in the America of today it doesn't matter if something is true - just whether it makes someone feel badly.

People take that too seriously. What's so important about an IQ? I run into dumb white people on a DAILY basis. Thus, I'm not impressed. And you don't need a high IQ to succeed today, being sociable and street savvy will take you a long way - especially in corporate America. Where smarty pants get sent to Accounting and Bookkeeping, while the socially savvy and instinct driven CEOs run the business.

And I don't care what's been "proven," it does not speak for the BS that gets said on Y!A answers on a daily basis. According to the IQ tests Asians and a certain group of Jews are the most intelligent. Who cares? In my own experience, I've met extremely intelligent people all races and thus I can't simply assume that because someone is of a certain ethnic background what their intelligence is. And they're so many other things I can say about dumb IQ test statistics..

I am not a statistic do not involve me in your rubbish !
1. The standards were created by and legitimized by whites, therefore making them inherently biased, 2. Blacks have only had 40 years or so of access to the same education that whites have had for hundreds of years.
It is harder to do well acadamically if you are ethnic. Not because of a lack of intelligence but the system is set up in a way which makes it harder for ethnic people. If you are from a less privelged background it is harder to break out of that then someone with a priveliged background. As ethnic people on average have less money and therefore come from a poorer background, it is harder for them. It is the same for working class whites-it's just there are more poor ethnic people.
We also need to consider that IQ tests measure how well you applied yourself in school which doesnt necessarily correlate to native intelligence and can be affected by any number of factors!

I am Black and mine supposedly falls into the superior range. That being said, IQ testing is based on limited cultural and academic constructs...they are made up...and for the most part measure a VERY NARROW range of ability. They are based on "norms" for academic performance. However, academic performance is not the sum total basis for intelligence in the real world; in other words much of what is postulated about intelligence is based on what society considers important at the moment. For example, suppose the ability to read and play music is considered to be a society's most important indicator of intelligence. There are many eminent scientists and scholars who do not know a treble clef from a grace note; and based on these standards, would not be considered as very bright. Bottom line cupcake, when you say this is "proven," it is a good idea to make sure you understand your subject matter and represent it accurately.

Your statement is racist.

You are mistaking race for class and IQ for education.

No ones IQ is either held back or superior because of their race.

Unfortunately tho, the more money you have the better education you receive and blacks and hispanics tend to come from lower income areas and have less chance at a higher education, but that's no to say that their IQ's could have or would have been any different than anyone elses with a higher education.

Truth is truth. But consider your source and the content of the facts. I am White from Swiss ancestry. I yield to te fact that Orientals, other Asians including Jews have higher IQ's than my own people. But there are some other factors as well. What a person does in life depends on far more than intelligence. And the intelligences between races and nationalities is not all that great. And there are plenty of Blacks I would be jealous of both for their intelligence and their accomplishments. Go ahead, call me a racist.

Who made up the IQ tests? Long ago, Europeans used brutal force to take everything they now consider 'theirs'; everyone different than you that you look down on HAD their own space to live via nature....so white people didn't have to say 'go back to your own country'; see, Caucasian people came to invade dark people from everywhere...not the other way around. Talk about looters and murderers and savages...but somehow those labels are used to address other races. Non-European civilizations included mathematics and other sciences...not too dumb or low-IQ there, huh?

There are a lot of intelligent, thoughtful white people around. Too bad you aren't one of them.

Regarding the IQ gaps in the U.S., numerous explanations beside genetics have been proposed. Joel Wiesen lists more than a hundred. Increased rates of low birth weight babies and lower rates of breastfeeding in Blacks as compared to Whites are some factors of many that have been proposed to affect the IQ gap.

In my opinion, it is impossible to find a single way to define "intelligence".
Who did the research?
The White people did, using the White people's methods.
But who said the White people's method is the universal definition of intelligence?
White people thinks from the perspective of education and scientific research. But the world is much more than that. I believe every race had their own cultures and intelligence. Just because it is not known to the White people's world of research does not mean there is no intelligence.

For all the studies that quote the argument that you are stating, there are equally as many that prove the opposite. Actually people that believe the first argument are proving where the low IQ's really are. If you can't see both sides of this statement you must be some kind of dim wit,say what color are you?

I've come across such things before but I don't consider it racist, it just doesn't mean anything to me, well at least the IQ thing doesn't
