Also, sense they talk like they're going to slove the nation's debt, they are going to need a lot of money. It seems that is will all be placed on the backs of those who are working legal citizens. Then those who CHOOSE not to get a job (I know there are some who can't labor) can sit on their cracks and reap the treasures of the working men and women. Unless they've got a better idea then raising the taxes.

The extra money for all the extra expenses? To date the war in Iraq has cost taxpayers over 2 TRILLION DOLLARS!
One way to solve the nation's debt problems, is to remove the problem. Get Bush and his cohorts out of the White House. Problem solved.
There will always be those who abuse the system, but those at the top often abuse the same system, at the cost of the working citizens. The filthy rich oil gurus, and others, make their riches from the labor force at a rate that far exceeds the those of the ones who sit on their cracks. At both the top and the bottom, they pretty much do the same thing. Sitting on their cracks just waiting for the money to come pouring in.

You have a president and an administration spending money like a 15 year old girl at the mall with Daddy's credit card. 363 Tons of cash were sent into Iraq and immediately disappeared with no accountability of what happened. I cannot imagine that any Democrat could do a worse job with financial resources than Bush and his thugs in suits. He borrowed from the Chinese to pay for his war and for the tax cuts for the wealthy. Who do you think will pay all that back? I doubt seriously that elves and Santa will pick up the tab for Bush.....uh oh, that leaves us, the American taxpayers. I am not even going to start on the billions paid to Halliburton and the Cheney conflict of interest there.

First of all if you feel that the welfare people have treasures, you live in a place that isn't America. I can think of a place to get a few billion dollars, how about Iraq. Take the $1 trillion we have spent in Iraq and all the nation's problems are solved. We can hire more people for Homeland to have more intel in and out of the country, build a wall, fix all the social programs you are complaining about and decrease the national debt. All of this and we can still have $$$ left over. It isn't that hard, it is called spending money in America on America instead of in Iraq for Iraq.

The republicans, if they had any brains whatsoever, would never have let foreign countries fund our wars. If you are pro-war, then you surely must realize, this debt has to be paid. You should be asking Bush about funding the war and repaying the debt. He's just going to leave it for the next administration rather than risk raising taxes and turning those who are left that support the war against it because it will hit them in their most precious spot. Their pocketbook.

Nice try, but history belongs to the Democrats on this topic. Ronald Reagan was the first to double the national debt. Think about it 200 years of red ink and he doubled it. Not to be outdone, GHW Bush came close, but luckily he only had one term. GW Bush, of course managed what seemed impossible. He doubled the national debt again. Time for a change? I think so.

Eliminating war - there is your answer.

==============
According to a 2005 congressional study, 36% of the worlds sales of Arms comes from the USA. Some independent studies puts that at up to 60%. Thus the USA has a vested interest to create conflict, finger point us into military spending and wars, prop up repressive governments, supply our allies with arms to fight their real and imagined conflicts and wars.

The same place the Republicans are. Actually, I guess you could say the Republicans and Democrats are equally liberal. I wonder where all the good conservatives in politics went.
