I prefer Millie, but only as a nickname. There are plenty of formal options -- Millicent, Matilda, Emilia, Emeline, Camille, Camilla, etc. -- and it's always nice to give your child a choice. ;)

Lily or Lilly is a lovely name (I simply prefer less-common Millie), but Lillie just seems overdone. As a floral name, I have no problem with this standing alone, but I still love the idea of using Lillian, Lillias or Lilith, for example, to give her options as she ages.

Jane and Pearl are my favorite single-syllables names. ;)

I'd say Lily.

Mille is great, but it really needs to be short for something - Milla, maybe or Millicent.

Lily, since it is the name of a flower, seems to stand better as a given name. And besides, isn't there a Christmas Lily plant?

Lily Grace is fabulous. Lily Kate is nice, too.
