Difference in salary and expenses
=15x^2+20x-(5x^2+5x)
=15x^2+20x-5x^2-5x
=10x^2+15x
Substituting x by $3,the difference per week
=10*(3)^2+15*3
=90+45
=$135

salary = 15x^2 +20 x
expenses = 5x^2 +5x
difference = 10x^2 +15x
If x = $3 the difference = 10(3)^2 +15(3) = 90+45 = $135

Net income = salary - expenses
15x^2 + 20x - (5x^2 + 5x) =
10x^2 + 15x

10(3)^2 + 15(3)
90 + 45 = $135

Let f(x) be the difference.
f(x) = (15x^2+20x) - (5x^2+5x) = 10x^2 + 15x
f(3) = 10(3^2) + 15(3) = $135

Subtract second from first
15xx-5xx+20x-5x=10xx+15x
Now plug in 3 for x in 10*3*3+15*3
=$135
