There are two main reasons why it is important NOT to bathe rabbits:

The first reason is because bathing a rabbit makes a rabbit more susceptible to getting pneumonia. The rabbit is soaked and wet. And if the water is too cool or the rabbit is left out in a cool breeze that could easily give it pneumonia and kill it within a matter of hours to 1-2 days. If a person is even remotely going to think about bathing a rabbit the water should be warm, it should be dried thoroughly, and it should be kept out of cool breezes until it is fully dried. A hair dryer on a low setting might help (not too hot, not too cold). Even then I wouldn't recommend bathing.

Secondly it removes the natural oils out of the rabbit's fur damaging the fur.

Watery poop means diarrhea. It can be caused by a number of things. If you are feeding anything besides the rabbit pellets and water other than timothy hay or straw I'd recommend just feeding the pellets and water. Greens, vegetables, lettuce, grass, fruits, etc can increase the chance of your rabbit getting diarrhea.

I'd recommend pulling your rabbit off of it's food for 24 hours and still leaving the water in for it. Then start your rabbit back on eating straw or timothy hay. If it has a mild case of bacteria caused by a bad diet filled with snacks and stuff this should help clear it up.

The diarrhea problem the person was talking about regarding the fair was more likely caused by coccidiosis. That can be cured with liquid amprolium.

I hope you don't start hearing a rattling in the chest or see your rabbit start breathing hard. If that is the case your bath to the rabbit could have been fatal for it. Those are signs of pneumonia.

keep the temprature of the rabbit's environment warm and at a constant.
feed your rabbit timothy hay, this increases the fiber in the rabbit and will help the watery poo
never ever bath your rabbit they can catch pneumonia and die quickly

Bathing rabbits can be dangerous and is a very bad idea. It's hard to get the temperature right. I've heard my friends say that they might even die

bathing a rabbit can really stress them out....if you really do need to clean your rabbit....its recommended that you only clean the soiled area...they also have leave in shampoos that you just spray and rub onto your bunny....a change in diet can cause diarrhea...having a pet means you would sometimes need to spend money on a vet....hopefully you can get something together so that it will work out

o u poor thing, ur not supposed to get rabbits wet! only when they r having a heat stroke u dunk them in water! ur first rabbit probily has diharrea. they get that if they have dirty cage. my rabbit got that when she was at the fair, she could have went to the state fair but she had diarea so they docked points for it. o well she hates the fair anyway, so we dont do it anymore. anyway they get diarea from bacteria climbing up their butts. i dont think its deadly, u might want to look that up in a rabbit book or on the internet.

how long have you had your rabbit for? some rabbits have runny poop when they are just settling in or if they are scared.
