It's better than all the others I've examined as well as our present system. Where does it say it will be government run? It says we have choices & all the choices are by private insurers. The thing about $5,000 per baby...where's that in there? You people repeat too many things that are just hearsay & propaganda instead of availing yourselves of real facts. That's how Bush was voted in. I guess that's why we're getting the reputation of being "those stupid Americans".

Hillary Clinton in being considered as one of the favored Presidential candidates is a mystery since she had been proposing projects in favor of the people.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.

I read it. Actually, Hillary’s health care plan looks pretty good. I am not sure, however, how she addresses the insurance companies’ administrative costs. That is currently a major part of the cost of health care in this country and therefore is a matter of concern.

Obama would promote insurer competition through a national Health Insurance Exchange and by regulating the portion of health plan premiums that must be paid out in benefits. Edwards would require that 85% of premiums be spent on patient care. Perhaps I missed it but I didn’t see anything similar in Hillary’s plan.

I read it. I get it. There is just one problem with it... well maybe two.

Problem one: It is never ethical to take money from one group (government is force - see George Washington) and distributing it to a group that you decide needs it the most. This is called socialism. Its right up there with ration cards and forced military service.

Problem two: Having the government provide a good or service interferes with the free market. Would you have the government provide automobiles as well? How about homes for the homeless? No matter which way you slice this, it is not ethical. Not to mention it gives the government a monopoly on the good or service and the state now enforces its new policy with guns and threats of jail/fines. Monopolies bring prices up and quality down. When you're the only show in town, you don't have to be a good show. Just ask anybody that ever dealt with FEMA!!

People do not realize that insurance already works this way. When people show up to the emergency room without insurance, you pay for it.

And guess what? Emergency room trips are a lot more expensive than preventive care.

I hope everybody reads this plan. I'm all for a nationalized health care system, but that ain't it! What a crock! It is, however, a perfect example of why she shouldn't be in office and why politics will screw up the system (even more).
All it amounts to is expanding medicare to the uninsured. But, instead of doing that, she wants to create another bureaucracy.
In fact, why not just allow medicare to cover the uninsured until they obtain their own coverage? Too simple?

I've read it and I think the economics behind it are delusional.

The idea that the Federal Government could be more efficient than the private sector is completely laughable.

Enjoy the lines at the local DMV? That's what healthcare would be.

Yes I have. Until she proposed it, I was going to vote Democratic. Now that I see that along with $5,000 for every baby and $1,000 for a 401K, she definitely wants to turn the USA into a Socialist regime. I am now voting for whatever Republican runs against her.

Socialized health care has their own problems too. Also, she has a lot of statistics and facts and says what needs to be done, but no real solution to all of it.

No thanks, I don't like the Hillary fish.

The people can't make these choices, we will have to make it for them.
Hillary Clinton
We will have to take this away from them for the "common good."
