A friend of mine is 40 weeks pregnant she has been overdue for three days. She wants to know how to naturally and safely induce her labor or cause her self to start the labor process. Any helpful hints will be appreciated, thanks!

hi im a mum of 3 kids also preggers with 4th babies will only be born when they are ready however i understand the wait is awful but do remember some babies dont make appearance until 42 weeks ne way enough of the neg side.try walking alot really does work,also like the other readers say sex also does work.they say to eat curry but you might just end up with a bad tummy{not good if you do go in to labour}whatever she decides to try just take care wish you well

some doctors recommend playing with your nipples to start the flow of hormones to induce labor

sex,nipple stimulation,walking if all else feels castrol oil thats what i did because nothing else was working i was over due and uncomfortable and coulnt take it anyone more so i took a couple teaspoons of castrol oil and the same night i went into labor but you do get hard contractions

nipple stimulation works the best. 20 minutes at a time or more. Sex without a condom- the hormone is sperm causes contractions.

Walking. Any activity really.

there are a few ways one is to have unprotected sex as something in sperm softens the cervix another is too walk around a bit or try rasberry leaf tea hope this helps

umm" give it a few more day's...A doctor gives a date in which he thinks is due..Maby the baby needs a bit more time..
