There is proscout thing in my town tomorrow, looking for aspiring models and actors/actresses. Are these things for real? And if they are do you have any reccomendations to stand out? I went to their website and it says that the most success rate is from ages 12-24 and I am 13. I want to become a model OR an actress... so do I need to choose? And also, I am not a toothpick like most models... will they turn me down because of that? Please tell me anything you know about this, because, as you can tell, I need help. Thanks for your time!

NO Proscout is not a scam. I've been to the open call. They just talk to you and if they like you they'll give you a call back and explain how everything works. I got a callback and im going to a event on nov. 16 in dallas. Its going to be a lot of agents their. You do an acting monolugue, walk the runway, and show your pics to the agents. I've been there before its awesome and u can get an agent from it if they like you. Hoped this helped........ For your first time its costs about 600 DOLLARS OR MORE,but that only if u get a callback. It only costs 200 for me because ive been there 2 times already. Good Luck Also it is not a agency it brings the agents to you. They have professional ppl there 2 interview u nd if u get picked then u meet a lot of agents and stuff.

ProScout is a Scam. Legitimate Modeling Agencies do not hold auditions. If you want to be a professional model you must live in New York City, as that is where the top modeling agencies are located.

Ok...i went to the ProScout thing in my city..First, its about 500 people or so..they choose about 400 to come back..But if you are chosen its about 400$+++. Its expensive, and no guarantees you'll be picked, or anything. You can go see what its about but i think its a scam.

I reccomend Pro Model and Talent Management if there is one near you. I work for one and know it's not a scam, though many are.

Be careful most of these things are a scam. They will sign you to a contract and help you for a fee.
The fee is all that is going to happen.

be careful and don't spend a dime (I don't care if they want to charge you for a "photo session" - many are scams without any real ties to the entertainment industry)
