as i draw as well as a spider which has wandered into an inkwell whilst being electrocuted i suppose the answer must be a little disappointed.
would love to be able to paint like my mum. she's really good.

Good, and if I am drawing something very detailed, or that's new to me, I have a habit of putting a mad expression on my face as if I was forcing the pencil to make what I was thinking. But that's what we're all trying to do right ? We're trying to put our thoughts onto a piece of paper, or computer screen, or whatever, and get it to come out exactly as we see it.
It also relieves a lot of tension and allows me to come up with ideas, and helps me plan things.

It's a process.
First I am curious trying to figure out what to draw then finding objects that fit. Then I get irritated when I can't get it just right. Then I feel tired because it's been HOURS. Then amused because my husband makes fun of me because I get charcoal on my face or something. Then proud because I'm done. Then analytical while I pick it apart and find everything wrong that I want to fix. Then I feel sad because it's out the door but happy because my pockets are fuller.

eh... i dont draw as much as i used to so now it feels like a lovely release when i do draw. its like the creativity builds up in me til i finally burst and just have to draw, and when that happens i can sit and draw for hours. its a great feeling.

When you create a drawing, do you feel that your feelings have been expressed adequately?

Art is a way to express yourself and feelings. For me it helps me to chill out and have fun.

It feels like good, sort of like therapy. Getting rid of ideas and phrases that are stuck in there and don't find a way out otherwise. It can be exhausting.
