Offense is what most people will focus on, but the defensive stats such as...
Rebounds (Offensive & Defensive), how will he position himself to gather all rebounds after the shot.
Blocks, being able to block shots of opposing players straight up, but also in helping others.
Steals, being in the right place at the right time, to get deflections.
But your offensive stats are important too such as...
Assists, very important...guys like Malone, Unseld, Duncan & Barkley had high assists numbers. Coincidentally, they all won the MVP award when they did.
FG %, players wont pass the ball to someone who wont deliver when called upon.
TO/Assists ratio, usually a PG stat, but when a big forward has good numbers in this area he sees the ball quite a bit.
Personal fouls, this stat has killed some guys career...Chris Webber comes to mind.
Most of the stats that would occur close to the basket I would hold important for a big forward.
