Although there is no official date to turn on Christmas Lights/Displays .. most of the time folks begin turning on their Christmas Lights on the Weekend AFTER Thanksgiving. (Which is what I do .. I start putting the lights out the day after Thanksgiving .. and then work on the display).

There is no 'official' date. I think any day starting with Thanksgiving is an okay date to have them on.

Nothing is quite official. But once I see Santa coming down Broadway in the Macy's parade I am ready.

my hubby doesn't want anything christmas out before his birthday....on Nov. 30 So, it's Dec 1 for us. I think it's totally acceptable to have them up the day after Thanksgiving...or even put them up Thanksgiving day ....just later in the day.

There is none. Our local supermarket believes it was October the tenth. The guy that lives down the street has the supermarket beat, he never takes them down!
