I have just installed a toilet. It seemed to go pretty easy, put I just want to know one thing. If I installed it incorrectly, how long would it take to leak. I didn't replumb the tank, I just put the wax ring in and set the toilet.

Thanks for your help!

If not immediately, it would leak within a day or two of standard, household use.

Flush it several times in a row, watch the floor to toilet area, It will leak there pretty quickly if it's going to.

I did the same thing. I found a small water line along the caulking at the base of the toilet. You'll know soon.

If the toilet wasn't leaking or dripping water inside the tank before, you don't have to worry about it.

Pat yourself on the back and flush away.Just check the floor bolts in a week or two to make sure they are snug.
