I am sure that the parents had to sign all kinds of papers and permission forms, so I don't think that it is breaking any child labor laws. Yes, I do think people are taking it way out of proportion! There are adults there!! Camera men, producers. You can't tell me that if one of the kids needs and adult, one wouldn't be running to them in a second!!

I absolutely love the show!! I have really grown to love all of those kids. Even the bratty ones have grown on me. They are doing an incredible job (for their age) living in that environment having to cook for themselves and make tough decisions. I am so proud of them. Most adults that I know would already have caved by now! Those kids are so brave for being away from their families for that long. I probably (at that age) would have been crying for my mom on that first night, I am sure.

I hope that they have a KN2!!

I've watched some episodes and like the show but don't think its the greatest. It would be more entertaining if they voted kids off every week and made them cry, but I guess that is too cruel. I have no kids but I'd probably let them go if I thought they would be able to handle it and they wanted to go.

I think they obeyed the law, but they filmed the show in April and the kids were taken out of school for a month. They should have filmed in July or August during their summer vacation.
