Why are gay men attracted to boys? Single Gay men only No boys!?

I am not gay! But I just want to know because I've seen this around in the mall.

There are to types of males that a gay and/or man will prefer or hit on.....the two are weak,young boys,or buff hott men.

The reason for younger guys is just because they're so cute and
sensitive at that age.

Again, I don't think it's a question of pedophilia. To me it's about the immoral influence they bring to the table. The vast majority of gay men are promiscuous and live an unhealthy lifestyle. That would be main concern. But honestly, it would depend on the individual. EDIT: @ Lana - Yes, I'm quite serious. You need to educate yourself on the gay lifestyle. Gay men live on average, 20 years less than their heterosexual counterparts....BECAUSE of their lifestyle choices. Drugs and promiscuity run rampant. Further, the Boy Scout organization is a Christian one, which certainly doesn't promote promiscuity...for either heterosexual or gay men.

I dont think most gay men are attracted to boys. Most of them like men. Studies show that usually straight married men and women will molest boys and girls because it is more about power then sex.

If you are hanging around the mall with other gay men, then perhaps you are confused and are really gay yourself.

think about it. most guys that ask questions about gay people but claim they aren't gay are really gay just afraid to admit it.

I know a lot of gay men and none are attracted to boys. If you mean the are attracted to effeminate looking men then that's another question all up. And if you are trying to insinuate that they are paedophiles then you are soooo wrong .. check all the information you can find on paedophiles and you will see they are all middle aged straight men. they don't consider themselves as gay, they don't see the difference between the sexes, they just see them all as children.

ya know what. sometimes we just look around and smile at an image of what we wished we could have experienced when we were that age.
although I wouldn't be caught dead in a mall, I see a handsome young man and wish I could be normal like him and be holding his girlfriend's hand.

Gay men are attracted to other men because they never broke the emotional bond with their mother. For the gay male, the other male is an idealized version of himself as the adored figure of the mother. It is often due to having had a father who was not often around for one reason or another--or with whom the gay male could not or would not identify--and a mother who would not let go of her son in an emotional sense. So the gay male did not identify himself sexually with a male figure but instead identified himself with the mother who--of course--loved him above all others, or so he believed. So that mother's love is focussed on a figure of another male who is really a stand-in for himself.

Apologies for the pop-psychology, but that's the Freudian view as far as I recall it and I think it's probably basically correct.

NB none of the above is a criticism of homosexuality but a description of the dynamics. The dynamics of heterosexuality in Freudian terms (e.g. the Oedipus and castration complexes) are equally complex and convoluted.
