Is it normal to not really have any freinds yet? This is my first year in college and I basically only know my roomate and suitmate. I mean, I know and talk to people in class, but outside of class I am usually by myself. Is this normal for a freshman w/ an introvert personality?

My first year, I was away from home and with no friends for most of the year. I didn't even have a roommate to hang out with because she was such an extrovert that she had many friends and was out all the time, and then she transfered to another school midway through the year.

I finally met a girl in my dorm who was looking for someone who knew what she was going through, and that happened to be me!

That's just how it goes. It is okay for it to take a while to adjust to being in college and not have many friends at first. Things will settle down and you'll meet some people you like.

In the meanwhile, why don't you start hanging out a little with people in your classes. Do you have any classes around mealtimes? See if maybe some of the people that you have spoken to in class are hungry. Also, try study groups and that sort of thing. And campus groups are a great way to get to know people who have similar interests.

I hope you enjoy school and have a good year!

Yes, totally. Your first year there are so many changes and new things going on that it takes time to settle in. I would suggest that you start trying to build on the friendships you've started with your classmates. Take the friendship beyond the classroom. Ask them to study with you after class? Get their phone number or email to contact them about the assignments. You can start to build some friendships outside of the class this way. Also consider joining some clubs at school, doing volunteer work or attending more activities.

Definitely normal man, I mean I only got friends from classes so far. I'm a freshman as well so trust me we're both going thru the same thing. But you have the advantages of meeting more people since you live on campus. ^^

YOU WILL KNOW MORE AS TIME GOES BY. YOU ARE JUST BEGINNING A LIFE AND ALL AROUND YOU ARE NEW.
INTROVERSION IS VERY NORMAL AND ALSO IS SOMETIMES CONFUSED WITH SHYNESS.
I WOULD SAY YOU ARE SHY AND NOT REALLY OUTWARD UNLESS YOU KNOW OR GET TO KNOW SOMEONE.
AN INTROVERT WOULD LIKE TO BE BY THEMSELVES AND NO CONTACT UNLESS COMPUTER WHERE YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE IDENTIFIED AS.

Yes it is. All your friends fro HS moved to different towns/went to differnet colleges I assume? It's normal, just try to come out of your shell.
